Celebrate good times, come on! It’s a celebration! Yep, that’s right. BM celebrates its first birthday today. This is the first anniversary of the day I finally said adios to FanFiction.net and other writings sites to finally carve out my own little niche on the web, specifically intended for my writings.
I had been a member of FF.Net from 4 October 2001 onward but, once they eliminated NC-17 writings, songfics and other types I enjoy, I chafed under the wanton censorship and resolved to pack up and go. I moved to FanDomination.Net but, soon enough, they started doing much the same as FF.Net. So, although BM was initially a result of my discontent with others’ rules, it has become the site in my H-A.com collective that I am most proud of.
With over 120 reviews, 3300 readers and 140 works archived here in the past year, I think I’m pretty qualified to say now that my work is fairly popular. It seems I have a sizeable fanbase for a lonegun web author. But my readers are way too quiet. So please, take a look, write some more reviews and rate my work. Tell me how good or awful you think my stuff is. I love hearing constructive criticism. No, scratch that. I need to hear it from you. Any writer worth their trade needs feedback.
With that in mind, I have added three original poems today: “Ambition”, “The Ex” and “The Real Me”. They were all written during a quiet moment when I was at work. I hope you enjoy them. But make sure to let me know about it, ok?
