I had intended to update on the Scent/Darkness fanfic series during the holiday. Unfortunately, my Windows operating system suffered a major crash over Christmas, which locked me out of my system. I spent the past several days moving my files over to an external drive using DOS commands.

I now have a Linux based operating system, Kubuntu. However, the external drive is not currently “mounted” in the OS as a writeable drive, so I cannot work on the fanfic or anything else I have stored there. It will likely take me a while longer before I have the kind of access I need to the drive to make changes to the text and document files that hold the fanfic.

I fully intend to have “Brothers In Darkness” completed early in the New Year, and another step made in the Scent/Darkness series.
