-came from the idea that mostly Tumblr liked making dark personas of other youtubers; marveled at that idea
-wanted to turn every youtuber into a dark persona; took opportunity to vidcon
-“super uncomfortable” to be darkiplier in front of everyone cause it was sexual
-jack didn’t even want to send the footage to robin
-rejected idea for a rejected video (where teamiplier + felix said that they weren’t a part of the video)
-shoutout to robin for giving the cheat cheat for Anti glitches!!
-nothing was planned in terms of lines
-no lore was intended?????? (GUYS ITS NOT CANON THEN)
-jack’s hair stopped glitching because mark got lazy
-allowed for people to theorize about the lore and why all the all the glitching didn’t happen (we already did.)
-they were intending to make fun of the dark personas, but they weren’t mocking it, in fact they love it and they only wanted to make fun of what they love
-the surprise entity… dear gosh.
-there was originally gonna be a lot of work put into this (buff chica)
-originally gonna be a dream in which mark wakes up next to chica with buff arms
-THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT ANTI SMILING AND DARK SCREAMING MEANT AND EVERYONE LOOKED INTO IT
-AMY’S CHIPMUNK DARK

A LITTLE LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK.
It’s basically one giant video shitpost. But some folks STILL missed the memo, apparently. *facepalm* Seriously guys, in terms of anything artistic, LISTEN to its creator when he talks. Mark actually SAID it didn’t mean anything, that it’s NOT part of the lore. It’s therefore NOT canon.
And the fact that it was originally supposed to be revealed as a dream actually makes total sense. It does have the internal logic of a dream: weird, disjointed conversations with odd events surrounding them, the inconsistent and constantly changing visuals. It actually makes more SENSE to see it as merely a dream.
The video isn’t meant to be part of the channel(s) lore, but a mockery of the Dark Personas. But people still treat it like it’s canon, ignoring Mark’s intent completely… and completely ignoring the characterization he set forth for Darkiplier in the first place.
Dark is a character strongly rooted in the horror genre. Dark vs. Anti was a complete and obvious tonal shift into comedy. The fact that it’s such a jarring change should clue people in to what’s really up.
That’s legitimately irritating to me, when people ignore the creator’s intent and the actual tone of a piece.
Oy. It gives me a headache.
