Hey you know how Dark does the neck thing at the end of WKM and the mirror cracks?
But what’s with the static stuff in the cracks? Well, see, if you watch on full screen, it’s not the mirror breaking. It’s your screen.
(Softly) D o n ’ t
I WAS GOING TO POST A THEORY ON THIS SHIT, BUT LOOKS LIKE I’M ADDING ON NOW.
There’s a moment before Damien examines the cane, where the mirror literally fades into your screen, cutting you off from that reality.
It’s a tad hard to show in pictures, but the edges of it move from being curved, to being flat against your screen. You’re confused by this point.
Wherever you are, you’re not meant to be there.
And then we have the neck crack. This is the moment when you two are separated, but he’s done something.
In this moment, he knew he didn’t want to lose someone else. He didn’t want to go through that ever again. So he put you somewhere new. In that moment he turned You, the district attorney, into You, the fan. He wanted to know that you’d be safe and not trapped somewhere, or floating in the void. In that moment, we became us. He saved us, not trapped us. He wanted to know that we’d always be there for him, even if he couldn’t see us anymore.
Even afterwards he looks guilty for having you be in a place like that, but he knows it’s for the best.
He now knows that you’re safe though, far away from that madness. And now he can finally take the revenge he needs to. For You, Celine, William, and anyone else who Mark had hurt.
And he’ll make sure Mark pays for what he did…
IT GOT BETTER.
(”Better” in the sense of “oh well, I didn’t need my heart anyway”.)
