June 25 to July 7 is always bad for me because it’s when people start using explosives in the name of patriotism and sudden loud noises make me super anxious. Especially when they sound like guns. And I live in America. -🌟

I live in the US too. And the crowds that come to my town on the holidays (I live in a small fishing town on the Jersey Shore) make me anxious. So, James and I are heading up to the Catskills for the holiday. It should be quieter and cooler there, as we’ll be chilling out in an area that is a little off the beaten path.

See if you can find a quieter space to be on Independence Day, somewhere away from where the fireworks and firecrackers are being set off. Invite a few of your friends who also want peace and quiet to your new hangout spot. Bring some sandwiches and other goodies, so you can enjoy a little picnic.

(This also goes for the Canadian folks who want a peaceful Canada Day on July 1st. Don’t feel obligated to celebrate in the loud, boisterous way everyone else is, if that ain’t your thing.)

Mostly, I write stuff. And, like the Egyptians and the Internet, I put cat pictures on my walls. Also, I can read your Tarot.
